The GWO Sea Survival Refresher is intended for anyone working in the offshore wind industry. During this Refresher training, the various aspects of survival techniques at sea are discussed. After following this Sea Survival Refresher you will be fully informed again and able to bring yourself and your colleagues to safety in life-threatening conditions at sea.

The content of this module has been drawn up according to the guidelines of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO).

About this course

Content

Among other things, the following topics are covered in accordance with the GWO guidelines:

Survival techniques at sea
Going on-and-off board safely
Man-over-board procedures (SAR, GMDSS and First Aid)
Evacuation procedures
Advantages / limitations of various LSA, PPE and PFPE materials

Entry requirements

For this training you need to be in possession of a valid GWO Sea Survival certificate.

Certificate

After successful completion of this training you will receive an official GWO Sea Survival Refresher certificate. The obtained certificate is also registered in WINDA, the online database for GWO training courses. In this database you will find all your obtained GWO certificates.

This certificate and the WINDA registration are valid for 2 years and must be refreshed every two years. You can do this by (re) following the GWO refresher training (s).
