NOGEPA 2.2A Offshore First Aid Basic

The NOGEPA 2.2A Offshore First Aid Basic course is intended for people who work on the Dutch continental shelf and are part of an Emergency Response Team specialized in providing First Aid. In this training you will learn to adequately provide first aid in the event of accidents on a mining installation or offshore platform. Amongst others, the NOGEPA 2.2A Offshore First Aid Basic course provides the knowledge and skills to provide assistance to the Medic on board. You also learn how to provide First Aid and to perform the necessary actions when there is no Medic on board.

The content of this module has been drawn up according to NOGEPA‘s guidelines.

About this course

Content

In accordance with the NOGEPA guidelines, this course contains, amongst others, the following:

  • Basic principles for providing first aid
  • Transporting injured / sick persons
  • Communication and radio medical advice
  • First aid for drowning and hypothermia
  • Providing first aid for shock, bleeding and simple wound treatment

There are no admission requirements for this training.

Do you already have a NOGEPA 2.2A certificate and are you interested in the refresher course? In that case you can register here for the NOGEPA 2.2B training.

Certificate

After successful completion of this training you will receive an official NOGEPA 2.2.A certificate. You will also be registered in the Central Diploma Register (CDR). This is the online database for NOGEPA training courses, among others.

This certificate as well as the CDR registration has a validity of 2 years and must be refreshed every two years. You can do this by following the NOGEPA 2.2.B (Refresher) training.
