GWO Refresher blended training courses
Discover our GWO refresher course. As well as the standard refresher courses, ECMT also offers GWO refresher courses in a blended format. With a blended course, you complete the theory part online in advance, at your own pace and from anywhere in the world, using a PC, laptop, tablet or mobile phone. You then simply attend the practical part at our Rotterdam centre. As you’ve already completed the theory part, you’ll spend less time obtaining your certificate. This means that after weeks at sea, you’ll have more time for family and friends. And you won’t have to compromise on quality, as you’ll receive exactly the same official GWO certificate as with our regular refresher courses.
What is a GWO Refresher course?
GWO training courses are safety training programmes for employees in the wind energy sector. These courses are compulsory for everyone working in this sector. To be permitted to work in the wind energy sector, it is essential to complete the GWO Basic Safety training, which consists of five different modules, including GWO First Aid and GWO Working at Height. Employees who have previously worked in the wind industry are required to complete a GWO Refresher course every two years in order to renew or extend their certificate. ECMT’s GWO Basic Safety Refresher course has been specially developed for employees who wish to renew their previously obtained certificate.

Who is the GWO Refresher course intended for?
The GWO Refresher is intended for employees working in the wind industry who wish to keep their certificate up to date. Employees who have previously completed all modules or who have not worked in the wind industry for more than two years can take the GWO Basic Safety Refresher to refresh and expand their knowledge.
