GWO Working at Heights – Refresher

The GWO Working at Heights Refresher is intended for anyone working in the (On- and Offshore) wind industry. You must attend this refresher course every two years. During the training, everything you have learned about the dangers and risks of working at heights is refreshed. After following the Working at Heights Refresher training, you will have all the knowledge to safeguard yourself and your colleagues in dangerous situations in wind turbines.

This module has been drawn up according to the guidelines of the Global Wind Organization (GWO) .

About this course

Content

The following is covered in accordance with the GWO guidelines:

  • Legislation around working at heights
  • The dangers and risks of working at heights in a wind turbine (WTG)
  • Safe use of anchor points and ladders
  • The use of evacuation equipment
  • Skills to rescue colleagues from a dangerous situation from a wind turbine

Entry requirements

For this training you must be in possession of a valid GWO Working at Heights certificate

Following on from the GWO Working at Heights Refresher, the below listed courses can be booked:

There is also a GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher in which the five above-mentioned modules are covered.

Certificate

After successful completion of this training you will receive an official GWO Working at Heights Refresher certificate. The obtained certificate is also registered in WINDA, the online database for GWO training courses. In this database you will find all your obtained GWO certificates.

This certificate and the WINDA registration are valid for 2 years and must be refreshed every two years. You can do this by (re) following the GWO refresher training (s).
