Manual Handling E-Learning & Practical

The GWO Manual Handling training is specifically designed for personnel in the wind industry who are involved in physical work. Importantly, this course focuses on teaching manual handling techniques that aim to minimize risks, prevent injuries, and, consequently, contribute to a safer working environment in wind turbines, all in line with the standards established by the Global Wind Organization.

By opting for the GWO E-Learning Manual Handling pathway, you gain the flexibility to tackle the theoretical part online, whenever and wherever suits you best, across the globe using your preferred device—whether it’s a PC, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Following this, you will transition to the practical aspect of the training at our center, which allows you to commence your training at your convenience.

Moreover, upon successful completion of the GWO Manual Handling E-learning + practical course, participants will receive the same certification as those who undergo the traditional, classroom-based GWO Manual Handling training. We continue to offer this option weekly, ensuring that all learners have access to the training that best fits their schedule and learning preference.

About this training

Contents

During the training you will learn to lift in a correct and occupationally responsible manner. In addition, insight is gained into methods to move objects correctly.

The following topics are discussed in accordance with the GWO guidelines:

  • Personal safety
  • Practice lifting and moving heavy loads
  • Discuss practical situations and cases
  • Preventing injuries
  • Risk-reducing lifting techniques

The Manual Handling is one of the five modules of the basic safety training developed by the Global Wind Organization (GWO).

The complete package teaches participants everything to work safely in the wind industry and, in addition to the GWO Manual Handling, consists of the individual modules:

The modules can also be followed in combination in the GWO Basic Safety Training .

Certificate

After successfully completing this training you will receive an official GWO Manual Handling certificate. You will also be registered in WINDA. WINDA is the online database for GWO training.

This certificate and the WINDA registration are valid for 2 years and must be repeated every two years. You can repeat this by following the GWO refresher training courses.
