Working at Height E-Learning + Practical

GWO Working at Height E-Learning + practical. Partly online, make the most of your time with us.

The GWO Working at Height is intended for everyone who works in the (On- and Offshore) wind industry. During this two-day training you will learn everything about the dangers and risks when working at heights. In addition, you will be taught skills that apply to everyone to carry out the work safely.

With this GWO E-Learning Working at Height  you follow the theory online in your own time and pace anywhere in the world on your PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone. You will then follow the practice in just 1 day at our training center. This saves you 0.5 days!

After passing the GWO Working at Height E-learning + practice, you will receive the same certificate as the fully classroom-based GWO Working at Height, which we of course still offer every week.

This module has been prepared according to the guidelines of the Global Wind Organization (GWO) .

About this training

Contents

The following is discussed in accordance with the GWO guidelines:

  • Legislation regarding working at heights
  • The dangers and risks of working at heights in a wind turbine (WTG)
  • Safe use of anchor points and ladders
  • The use of evacuation equipment
  • Skills to rescue colleagues from a threatening situation from a wind turbine

Following the GWO Working at Heights, the following training courses can be booked:

There is also a GWO Basic Safety Training in which the GWO Working at Heights is discussed together with the GWO First Aid, GWO Fire Awareness, GWO Manual Handling and GWO Sea Survival.

Certificate

After successfully completing this training you will receive an official GWO Working at Height certificate. You will also be registered in WINDA. WINDA is the online database for GWO training.

This certificate and the WINDA registration are valid for 2 years and must be repeated every two years. You can repeat this by following the GWO refresher training courses.

As soon as you start taking a GWO training, you must create a Winda account. Don’t have this yet? Don’t worry, you can do that via this link . In this database you will find all obtained GWO certificates.
