Working at Height refresher E-Learning + practical

GWO Working at Height refresher E-Learning + practical. Partly online, make the most of your time with us!

The GWO Working at Height Refresher is intended for everyone who works in the (On- and Offshore) wind industry. You must follow this refresher training every two years. During the training, everything you have previously learned about the dangers and risks of working at heights is repeated.

With this GWO E-Learning Working at Height  refresher you follow the theory online in your own time and pace anywhere in the world on your PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone. You will then follow the practice with us at the training center. This way you get the most out of the practical training with our experienced instructors.

After passing the GWO Working at Height refresher E-learning + practice, you will receive the same certificate as the fully classroom-based GWO Working at Height refresher, which we of course still offer weekly.

This module has been prepared according to the guidelines of the Global Wind Organization (GWO) .

About this training

Contents

The following is discussed in accordance with the GWO guidelines:

  • Legislation regarding working at heights
  • The dangers and risks of working at heights in a wind turbine (WTG)
  • Safe use of anchor points and ladders
  • The use of evacuation equipment
  • Skills to rescue colleagues from a threatening situation from a wind turbine

Admission requirements

For this training you must be in possession of a valid GWO Working at Height certificate

There is also a GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher E-learning + Practice in which the five above-mentioned modules are discussed.

Certificate

After successfully completing this training you will receive an official GWO Working at Height Refresher certificate. The obtained certificate is also registered in WINDA, the online database for GWO training. In this database you will find all your obtained GWO certificates.

This certificate as well as the WINDA registration are valid for 2 years and must be repeated every two years. You can repeat this by (again) following the GWO refresher training(s).
