The GWO Working at Height course is intended for anyone working in the (On- and Offshore) wind industry. During this two-day training you will learn everything about the dangers and risks of working at heights. In addition, you will be taught skills that apply to everyone to perform the work in a safe manner.

This module has been drawn up according to the guidelines of the Global Wind Organization (GWO).

Subsequently, you will complete the practical training in just 1,5 days at our training center.

Content

The following is covered in accordance with the GWO guidelines:

Legislation around working at heights
The dangers and risks of working at heights in a wind turbine (WTG)
Safe use of anchor points and ladders
The use of evacuation equipment
Skills to rescue colleagues from a threatening situation from a wind turbine

There are no admission requirements for this training.

Following the GWO Working at Heights, the following training courses can be booked:

There is also a GWO Basic Safety Training in which the GWO Working at Heights is discussed together with the GWO First Aid, GWO Fire Awareness, GWO Manual Action and GWO Sea Survival.

Certificate

After successful completion of this training you will receive an official GWO Working at Heights certificate. You will also be registered in WINDA. WINDA is the online database for GWO training courses.

This certificate as well as the WINDA registration has a validity of 2 years and must be repeated every two years. You can repeat this by following the GWO refresher training.
