Medical examination for offshore workers

For safety reasons, it is crucial that all workers on oil rigs or offshore wind farms are both physically and mentally healthy. Therefore, it is mandatory for offshore personnel to undergo a medical examination every two years.

ECMT offers comprehensive medical examinations that fully comply with the requirements of NOGEPA and OEUK (formerly OGUK) guidelines. Our doctors specialise in the offshore industry and are up to date with the latest developments in occupational health and safety. Our doctors are authorised to stamp your green Personal Safety Logbook.

Parts of the examination:

Offshore questionnaire
Basic examination: height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, pulse and oxygen saturation
Spirometry (lung function test)
Hearing test (audiometry)
Standard vision test
General physical examination
Neurological examination
Urinalysis

At your or your clients’ request, or if the doctor sees reasons to do so, the following may be added:

ECG (heart monitor)
Chester Step Test (exercise test)
Bicycle ergometry
Bi Deltoid shoulder measurement
Blood test

The basic costs for the examination are €185 excluding VAT. The validity of the examination is 2 years.
