The GWO Basic Safety Training Onshore is intended for people working in the wind industry. During the training you will become acquainted with the risks and dangers of working in the wind industry. You will also learn how to act in an emergency. The GWO Basic Safety Training Onshore consists of the First Aid, Working at Heights, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling.

After following this training you will be in possession of all Basic GWO certificates. All modules must be successfully completed before you start working in the Wind Turbine Generator.

The content of this training has been drawn up according to the guidelines of the Global Wind Organization (GWO).

Certificate

After successful completion of this training you will receive an official GWO certificate from the First Aid, Working at Heights, Fire Awareness and Manual Handling. You will also be registered in WINDA. WINDA is the online database for GWO training courses.

These certificates as well as the WINDA registration have a validity of 2 years and must be refreshed every two years. You can do this by following the GWO refresher training.
