The GWO Manual Handling Refresher course is intended for personnel working in the wind industry where physical work is performed. You must take this refresher course every two years. During the training, your memory will be refreshed on how to act during heavy physical work. This with the aim to limit risks, prevent incapacity for work and thus contribute to a safer working environment in wind turbines based on guidelines of the Global Wind Organisation.

About this course

Content

During the training you will learn how to lift loads in a correct and technically responsible manner. In addition, insight is gained into methods to move objects correctly.

The following topics are covered in accordance with the GWO guidelines, among others:

Personal safety
Practice lifting and moving heavy loads
Discuss practical situations and cases
Preventing injuries
Risk-reducing lifting techniques

Entry requirements

For this training you need to be in possession of a valid GWO Manual Handling certificate.

Certificate

After successful completion of this training you will receive an official GWO Manual Handling Refresher certificate. The obtained certificate is also registered in WINDA, the online database for GWO training courses. In this database you will find all your obtained GWO certificates.

This certificate and the WINDA registration are valid for 2 years and must be refreshed every two years. You can do this by (re) following the GWO refresher training (s).
